Sandhill Crane

 
 
Spring has sprung here in Wisconsin. It is my favorite time of the bird year. Everyone is in full color and so busy showing off for the ladies that they pay little attention to me and the camera! This guy was just strolling through a cornfield right next to the road utterly unconcerned about me. Notice the red patch on the head - he really had it turned up to bright!
